Science-based, user-friendly personality assessments to help individuals and organizations grow

Sobre nós

You, illuminated. Truity is on a mission is to make high-quality psychometric testing more accessible to individuals and organizations. Take our science-based, user-friendly personality tests to better understand and unlock the power of your true self -- at home, at work, and in your relationships. Truity Founder and CEO Molly Owens had been using her Masters in Psychology working in organizational development, when she became aware of a big gap in the personality testing space. There were the rigorous, expensive, enterprise-grade tests only major corporations could afford, and there were the free, gimmicky tests regular people were taking online — and nothing in between. So in 2012, Truity was born. Since then, we’ve helped over 25 million customers discover their true selves. With our deep database of test results, we’ve studied how personality factors relate to everything from income to parenting style. Our research has been covered in major media outlets including CNBC, the Huffington Post, and the Today Show. Since we believe in the transformative power of self-discovery and growth, we offer free assessment services to a wide range of at-risk populations, from foster children to military veterans. • The idea that great leaders all fit one mold is outdated. Some lead with vision, others with empathy, precision or bold disruption. The common thread is not style, but self-awareness. Looking at leadership through the Enneagram reveals how different personalities build success in completely different ways, from perfection-driven innovators to harmony-focused team builders. Each type has a natural edge that can become a powerful advantage when used well.

  • AI at work isn’t just about who’s using it and who isn’t. It’s about how people are using it, and why. In our latest research, we found that personality plays a major role in shaping AI adoption. Some employees approach it with caution and skepticism. Others dive in fully, and risk over-relying on it. Neither is wrong. But both come with strengths and blind spots. For leaders, the real opportunity isn’t pushing more AI use. It’s learning how to calibrate it based on how your team actually thinks, works, and makes decisions. • Have you ever been caught off guard by a harsh or cutting comment that seemed to come out of nowhere? Moments like that can sting, especially when you were trying to be supportive or kind. “Living day to day can be stressful and it's even more so when we have to deal with unwarranted attacks from others,” says Brandon Zahl, a licensed mental health counselor practicing at Vital Flow Therapy in Seattle, WA. “Why did this person do this, and how do we respond to this distorted story about who we are and what we did?" Those are precisely the questions we want to answer. If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of a random verbal attack, you’ll know how much it can sting. At worst, it can shake your self‑esteem and damage relationships. In this article, we’ll be looking at why insecure people lash out and asking, is there a way to handle it empathetically without falling to their level?

  • Hybrid work policies may look simple on paper, but they feel completely different depending on who you are. Some people thrive on office energy, while others do their best work in quiet, focused environments at home. We explore how personality traits shape those experiences, using the Big Five model to explain why the same schedule can energize one person and drain another. It also offers practical ways leaders can create a more balanced approach that supports different working styles without overcomplicating the system.

  • Emotional intelligence is no longer a nice to have in the workplace. According to a suite of research, emotionally intelligent organizations are much more likely to retain employees and inspire their people. They have higher rates of productivity, are more profitable, receive better customer ratings, and have lower absenteeism. If that’s not enough to persuade you on the benefits of emotional intelligence in the workplace, a massive 71% of employers say that EQ is more important than IQ when it comes to hiring the right employees. Quite simply, if you want your organization to stay competitive, you need people who can understand and manage emotions at work. When people think of EQ, their first instinct is usually to equate it with empathy. Many are surprised to discover that someone who isn’t naturally “warm” or “nice” can still have exceptionally high emotional intelligence, because they are self-aware and handle pressure without losing focus. That balance between empathy and control is what makes EQ so powerful in professional settings. Another misconception is the “born with it” myth. In reality, EQ is a learnable set of skills, and those who put the effort into developing it often see a transformation in how they communicate, make decisions, and lead under pressure. A workshop is the most practical way to bring these ideas to life and help teams develop their learnings into real behavioral change. In this guide, we’ll walk through how to plan and run a successful emotional intelligence session, step by step. This article walks through how to run an emotional intelligence workshop that helps teams build real skills in self awareness, empathy, emotional control and more. It is a practical guide for turning EQ from an abstract concept into everyday behavior change. #eq #emotionalintelligence #selfawareness #empathy #teamworkshop

  • Sharing your personality type at work can feel like a powerful way to build trust and improve communication. It helps teams understand how you lead, how you handle stress and how you make decisions. But it is not without risks. Labels can shape how others see you, sometimes oversimplifying your behavior or reinforcing assumptions that are not entirely accurate. In some cases, sharing too much too soon can even impact how your competence is perceived. The key is being intentional. When done thoughtfully, sharing your personality insights can open the door to better collaboration and self-awareness across your team.
